Slow Cooker


Chinese Ribs

3 – 4 pounds country style ribs, cut into individual ribs
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup chili sauce
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup apricot preserves (or orange marmalade)
¼ cup honey
¼ cup seasoned rice wine vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
4 teaspoons minced garlic
½ to 1 teaspoon 5 spice powder (optional)

Place ribs in slow cooker.

Mix all other ingredients together in a large bowl, pour over ribs, tossing to cover ribs thoroughly.

Cook on low for 10 – 12 hours (tossing ribs 2 or 3 times during cooking cycle to coat ribs with sauce).

Remove and if desired, place on broiler proof pan and broil until tops of ribs are caramelized.
