Apple Dipping Sauce

 1 can (12 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup butterscotch flavored chips

2 tablespoons butter

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Pinch ground ginger

6 apples sliced in wedges and tossed with lemon juice


In small pan over low heat, combine milk, chips, butter, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.  Heat pan until the chips are melted.  Taste for seasoning, adding more if necessary.

Serve with apple wedges.

Also makes a great ice cream topper when warmed.

Sauce will keep in refrigerator for several weeks.
