Turtle Cake and Bake Cookies


1 package Chocolate Cake Mix with Pudding
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup toffee bits
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can Chocolate Frosting (if desired)
 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
 
In large bowl, combine cake mix, chocolate chips, toffee bits and pecans and mix well. Add butter, eggs, oil and vanilla and mix with a spoon or spatula until all dry ingredients are moistened.  Batter will be very thick.
 
Using a small portion scoop (or a tablespoon), place cookies on ungreased baking sheets, these cookies will not spread much because of the addition of chips and nuts.
 
Bake for 9 - 11 minutes, remove from oven and let sit on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack or wax paper to cool completely.
 
Spread cooled cookies with frosting, if desired.
