4 pounds pork ribs (spareribs or baby back), cut into single rib portions
16 – 20 ounces Hoisin Sauce (Oriental food section)
½ cup honey
5 scallions, white and green parts, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons 5 Spice Powder
2 tablespoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Rooster Sauce (Sriracha) or to taste
Combine hoisin sauce, honey, scallions, vinegar, Szechwan seasoning, ginger, garlic and rooster sauce in bowl.
Place ribs in bottom of slow cooker, pour sauce over ribs and stir to coat.
Cover and cook on low heat for 6 – 8 hours.
If desired, at end of cooking time, transfer to a broiler safe pan and broil 2 inches from broiler heat for 5 minutes to caramelize.
