Indy Pizzas


 “Indy” pizzas are individual pizzas for each person’s individual taste!

 

1 package pita flats (not pockets)

 

Red Sauce Pizza

Marinara Sauce

Favorite pizza toppings, ex: cooked sausage, cooked bacon, ham, shrimp, black olives, green olives, onions, anchovies, etc.

Shredded cheese – your choice….mozzarella is the standard.

Dried Oregano

 

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

 

Spread pita flats with marinara sauce and allow everyone to top their own pizzas, sprinkle with oregano.  Put pita pizza flats directly on the oven rack (or a pizza stone) for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden and crisp and cheese is melted.

 

Cut into wedges and serve.

 

White Pizza

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mashed garlic

Fresh mozzarella cheese

Ricotta cheese

Shredded Parmesan cheese

Thinly sliced scallions (white and green parts)

Kosher salt

Ground black pepper

Fresh Basil (optional)

 

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

 

Brush pita flat with olive oil, spread with mashed garlic (as much or as little as you want).

 

Layer pita flats with mozzarella, ricotta and Parmesan cheese.  Sprinkle with scallions, salt and pepper.

 

Bake directly on oven rack (or pizza stone) for 15 – 20 minutes or until crust is golden or crisp and cheese is melted.

 

Remove and sprinkle with chopped basil, cut into wedges and serve.
